Relations between the EU and Lebanon are based on an Association Agreement, which entered into force in 2006, and an EU-Lebanon Action Plan.

SIGMA is currently working with:

  • The Institute of Finances Basil Fuleihan on revising and further developing its Institutional Development Plan with the aim of improving its activities and services as a centre of excellence in public finance.

  • The Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and other relevant ministries on strengthening their capacities for conducting Regulatory Impact Assessment.

  • The Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform and other stakeholders on developing a strategy for the development of the public procurement system through sharing experiences and good practices of EU member states.

SIGMA has agreed to work with:

  • The Civil Service Board to share knowledge on modern techniques and good practices on how to assess organisational structures.

  • The Court of Accounts on awareness raising, as well as knowledge and experience sharing on performance audit.
