The relations between Tunisia and the EU are defined by the Association Agreement, signed in 1995, the Action Plan for the Privileged Partnership, and  the Joint Communication of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and the European Commission: “Renforcer le soutien de l’UE à la Tunisie”, underlining the determination of the EU to further support Tunisia.

SIGMA, the EC and the Tunisian authorities agreed a work programme in September 2019 that gives priority in the period to December 2020 to co-operating with:
