Turkey is both an OECD member country and a EU Enlargement country. The approach towards the EU is framed under Turkey's EU Strategy. SIGMA, in co-operation with the Turkish administration, prepared an Action Plan that was agreed by the EC in December 2016 giving priority in the period to June 2018 to co-operating with:

  • The Prime Ministry on the enhancement of the quality of Regulatory Impact Assessments and developing the monitoring system for the Government Annual Work Plan.

  • The Ministry of Finance on enhancing the development of risk management and managerial accountability and supporting the ministry in drafting the new regulation on financial management and control (FMC).
