The Association Agreement between the EU and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan took effect in May 2002 and forms the legal basis of the relationship between the EU and Jordan. The main goal of the partnership of the EU and Jordan is to cultivate a political dialogue, enhancing trade through progressive liberalisation and promoting co-operation in a wide spectrum of sectors.
SIGMA is currently co-operating with:
- The Services and Public Administration Commission, supporting change management, the creation of the new compliance function, various aspects related to leadership and opinion polls for users of public services.
- The Institute of Public Administration, providing advice on its organisational structure.
- The Prime Minister's Implementation Office, supporting different initiatives for the implementation of the Modernisation Roadmap.
- The Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, conducting a review of procurement-related risks.
- The Audit Bureau, facilitating the exchange of experiences with EU Member States on priority topics. The Bureau is currently developing digitalisation and communication strategies, as well as reforming its approach to ex ante controls.
