The relations between Tunisia and the EU are defined by the Association Agreement, signed in 1995, the 2014 Mobility Partnership, and the EU-Tunisia Strategic Priorities adopted in 2018. In 2023, the EU and Tunisia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on a strategic and global partnership, aiming at implementing a comprehensive partnership package covering five pillars of co-operation: macroeconomic stability, economy and trade, green energy transition, people-to-people contacts, and migration and mobility.
